Default Would you Buy LTCI ?

Many people find it hard to answer the question "would you buy long term care insurance?" The reason for that is lack of knowledge, understanding and resources that can help them make a decision. I'm not here to force people to buy coverage but to enlighten them and to help them decided whether this policy is right for you or not.

One way to find out if you will greatly benefit from ltci in the future is by having your health assessed first. Go to a specialist and find out if you are at risk of a life-threatening disease, to check your current health status and to know if your family history will affect your health in the future. If you are most likely to develop a disease, then it's highly recommended to purchase this.

Those who are not at risk can opt not to purchase but if you want to make sure that you will be covered if ever something happens, then it's up to you to buy insurance. It's not really for everyone, it depends on your needs and budget.

It's still best to talk to an ltci specialist in order to be sure what will be good for your and your family in the future. Before doing so, you can watch this video first --, just to give you an idea what can happen if you age with no coverage and other information about ltc insurance.

Long-term care insurance seems like something to defer to the future.

With today's hybrid products I do not see delaying or deferring the decision into the future as a necessary idea. It may be possible to insure one's life and LTCi need simultaneously. Bea, I would suggest you take a look at some of what is available and that could help you reassess your feeling.
