I have a policy with for my wife who is now 75 when I applied for the policy through some insurance broker I filled in all the forms and agreed to them approaching my wife's doctors surgery. I got the policy. A few years later my wife had to have a pacemaker fitted. Just recently another insurance broker contacted me by phone and offered to get me a policy for my wife with this insurance firm I explained that we already had a policy with them but he said that did'ent matter we could have two. I explained that she had, had a pacemaker fitted I said I did'ent want them approaching my wife's doctors surgery. They sent me forms to fill in which were already filled in omitting the pacemaker I added the pacemaker. I never heard from this company again for about three months so I thought that was it and threw all the paperwork away. Then I got a phone call where they said my wife had been turned down for insurance after they received medical advice. I asked where from they said my wife's doctors I did mention that I had not given permission for them to approach my wifes doctors. He said they would not have done this if they had nothing signed. He advised me to just carry on paying for the policy I have which I now think may be in jeopardy when it comes time to claim even though it was all above board when I got the policy. Would they have notified the firm I already have a policy with that she had been turned down on medical grounds for another policy?
