Fixed-rate savings bonds: Savers can find interest of up to 5% on long-term fixed rate bonds, such as that offered by Coventry Building Society. Three-year bonds pay around 4% both the Post Office and Lloyds Bank have a 4.1% three-year deal, while ICICI Bank, a UK subsidiary of an Indian bank, pays 4.25%. All are covered up to 50,000 by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.

There are lots of options on which you can invest your money. You can double your money with the help of buying stocks or investments, and funds as well as time-lock deposit from your bank accounts.

which is the best way in your opinion to invest the money?
    *House purchasing
    *Land
    *Shares and bonds
    *Bank profits
    *anyother-specify?
To answer your question, all of the above!

Whenever you are planning on investing your money you will want to diversify your total capital among several investments. This helps you to manage your risk and you won't loose all your money on one type of investment. For example, if you have $100,000 of capital avaliable for investing you will want to come up with a plan that fits your risk tolerance(conservative vs. aggressive). Here are two examples:

    1. Conservative approach for your $100,000

    50%- Bank profits
    25%- Bonds
    25%- Stocks

    2. Aggressive approach
50% - Stocks (You will also want to seperate this into multiple categories. Such as 10% into internation stocks, 10% into speculative stocks, etc.)
    25% - Options
    10% - Forex Market
    15% - Bonds/Banks

Invest is went you spend money in business or other things to get a profit of it, or a percent of the money the place, business, and organization is getting on the time you are putting your money. You can get your money in short or long term.

Other than real estate or properties, investments like bonds, annuities, stocks, and mutual funds. For me, stocks is the best type of investments though it is more risky compared to mutual funds and real estate.

I want to say you that investing in gold market is better than investing in other lines like forex market, purchasing shares and bonds, etc. Because gold price increases day by day. Good luck!

I don't think that there is a 'best' way to invest money. All investments involve the trade off of risk and return.
