It depends of the pet you have. Some pets need insurance, some not. Mostly depends of the owner's opinion. If owner think it needs insurance, than take it, but the cheapest is absolutely not the best option you can make if you take an insurance

    I SECOND that !!!

It depends. And you need it( if its appropriate ) to reduce the risk of caring the pet.

If your pet was to have an accident or need emergency medical treatment it could end up costing you hundreds if not thousands of pounds. There is no animal NHS to pick up this cost. Take a look below at some reasons for going to see a vet and think how likely it is that your pet may suffer one of these at some point in its life:
Reasons for making an unexpected trip to the vet include:
    -Cuts/lacerations
    -Lameness
    -Road traffic accident
    -A growth
    -Abscess
    -Bites
    -Foreign body (swallowed)
    -Pyrexia/anorexia of unknown origin
    -Gastroenterisis
    -Ear infection
