    Default nonrenewal of homeowner's insurance

A family member was bit by my cat on her right hand which became septic and ultimately required surgery and now a long rehab process to regain ROM in her wrist. She filed a claim with my homeowner's insurer. Several weeks later they cancelled my insurance. I found a new insurer with a much higher deductible and premium. The previous insurer offered her a medical copayment of $5,000. which was the limit for that type of insurance. She has since sought legal advice and was told she could file a negligence claim. My question is how would/might this affect her current insurance and/or her ability to get any other insurance in the future?

A nonrenewable resource is a natural resource that can be produced, grown, produced or used at a scale that can maintain its consumption rate. These resources are often in a lump sum, or consumed much faster than nature can create.
