I have both cat and dog insurance with healthy pets. They were the best for the money when I took out my policies with them last year. I think all of their plans come with lifetime cover and a 7500 per claim limit! Check them out

Pets are as important as family members in a family. Their well-being is the responsibility of the whole family, then why not ensure your pets too? This is simply same as you get insurance policies for your beloved ones. The insurance policy for pets cover vaccination, medical expenses in illness, etc. You can select a monthly or yearly plan according to your affordability.

Pet Insurance is expensive nowadays mainly because of the cost of vet bills. In my experience there are two ways to obtain cover.
1- As an extension under your home insurance policy.
2- From a specialist pet insurance provider.

The secret is to phone around as many companies as you have time to. When comparing the quotes you receive, check the covers on offer as they can vary greatly, you may be prepared to accept more basic cover in return for a cheaper policy. At the top end of the scale, some insurers now include “Whole of life” insurance, so you pet can be treated indefinitely. My advice as well, always make sure your policy has public liability insurance included.

I am agreed with your views on pet insurance. It has become expensive these days. The ideas you suggested here to cover it seems to be working. One will get the benefit of the insurance by applying these.

One thing to research is whether the policy gets significantly more expensive as your pet gets older and what claims it pays out for.

The oldest company in the US selling pet insurance is VPI out of California. They are now part of the Nationwide family of companies and personally, they insure our pets. I have found their latest plan acceptable though there are limits. Were it not for the coverage years ago, we would have had to put our old lab down due to cancer but this coverage helped defray much of the cost of treatment.

I've always used GoPetPlan! They make it super easy to submit claims and have a quick turn around time. I also found them to be the cheapest.
