There are too many variables one has to know the answer to to be to answer that question.

1. Are there any health issues?

2. What is height and weight?

3. How much coverage do they want?

4. For how long?

5. How much can they afford?

6. Etc.

There are term life plans and permanent life insurance plans that may provide the coverage you need, depending on your life insurance goals.

Some insurers offer no exam life insurance plans as well for people over 50. However, those plans usually cost more and limit the amount of life insurance available. Some plans are graded benefit offering limited life insurance the first 1-2 years.

Over 50s life insurance plans are available from most life insurance companies, but the rates and amounts of coverage offered may vary by insurer. The insurance company will ask questions about your health, family health history, driving record, height-to-weight ratio, hobbies, occupation, etc. to determine what rate they charge you for life insurance.

Term life will offer coverage for 10, 15, 20 or 30 years, but it is temporary and costs less than permanent life insurance which offers lifetime coverage and builds cash value.

you can get life insurance for this age group, but acceptance is more difficult and premiums dramatically higher. Still there are comapnies that specialise in this type of cover I'm sure

Default Term Life Insurance Best For Seniors and Elderly

For elderly persons and seniors based on their health conditions health insurance company decide the premiums they need to pay. Term Life insurance is most preferred of all.

Health insurance plans include factors like amount of coverage you want, life insurance term for how many years you need, premiums you would be payinh monthly, annually, etc.

How can you in state that for elderly and seniors Term insurance would be preferred. As you age the lenght of term that insurance companies offer decreases while at the same time cost increase. It is true that a permanent policy would cost more initially at this point however it would still be inforce when the time came to pay the claim.

Norwayguy, I agree with you. This is a dumb post. Term is not preferred for seniors especially if they want copverage guaranteed to be there when one dies. Then he also has this stupid statement about health insurance that has nothing to do with anything. This poster probably should be banned. I think I have already banned him once under a different name.
