Default Insuring Home Dwelling Contents Only

    Does such a policy exist? I don't want a HO1 or HOA

Sounds like renters insurance coverage to me but I don't do P&C.

Ask your agent about either an HO6 (condo policy - minimal coverage towards the building - usually about $1k in NC and whatever contents coverage you need) or an inland marine policy (covers personal property at locations other than your residence).

Contents only coverage sounds like a renters policy to me.

But most good insurance companies would want to know why you do not want to insure the building and only insure the contents?
