    Harry, again another great question. Once again, the answer is yes. No matter when you obtained either policy, you can collect on both. If you had your own policy first (which is always better) then you can not only collect on both but will be better off as your group benefit will not integrate with your personal policy. However, if you purchase your personal policy after you have a group plan, whatever carrier you choose will ask about current benefits and reduce the amount made available to you.
