Marine insurance typically refers to different types of boat insurance. Most large insurance companies will insure boats that are under 30 feet long... I've sold Progressive quite a bit, they are pretty good.

There are two types of inland marine insurance, filed policies and non filed policies. The former provides full coverage to physical loss of property and all the documents and rates are submitted to the insurance states department. The latter on the other hand has specific coverage depending on the type of loss and as the name suggest the documents aren't filed in the insurance states department.

As the name suggesting, marine insurance covers the loss and damage of ships, cargo and any transport by which freight is transferred, acquired among the points of source and final distance. Marine insurance coverage is offered on a wide range of marine associated fields, coverage of cargo.
