Unhappy Claim for ongoing treatment rejected

Unfortunately I had an accident overseas and whilst SureSave travel insurance paid medical expenses overseas, they will not pay for the ongoing treatment I require, back in Australia. Though the accident was legitimate and during the period and conditions of the insurance, they claim all expenses for ongoing treatment back in Australia will not be paid. However, it was not possible nor practical for me to have treatment in Japan, as the rehabilitation would have been too long with high grade knee MCL, ACL and fracture! I feel very disillusioned with travel insurance....
    1) Can anyone provide help or advise?
    2) Are ALL travel insurance policies the same? Thatis, no claims back in the country of residence is acceptable, even if the damage occurred overseas during the period of insurance?

    Read the policy.

It'll tell you what's covered and what's not covered.

I cannot believe that all the policies are the same. adjusterjack is right. You have to read the policy and you will probably most likely find yr answer.
